I currently have a cricut I use with my SCAL software. I plan to buy a silhouette soon. Is there any way I can get the files off my cricut cartridges and save them as svg files? I know the svg files can be taken off cartridges, but do the cartridges need to be taken apart to access the data?

The only way I know to use the designs on Cricut cartridges, is to load them into say Cricut Design Studio, Cricut Craft Room or Cricut Design Space. Then copy the screen of the design, and trace the image to convert it to vectors.
